My internship in the NGO Foundation Taigüey (Anna Maria is gone!)

On October 13, 2007 I came to the swamp to make a six-month internship in the NGO Foundation Taigüey. We had a great time. During these months working with my colleagues to Transagro and ecotourism projects and see the results ... I can almost Transagro Coodeci of a cooperative appointed Ecotourism project has started training people in the Swamp and Bahoruco!
I am very proud to have been part of this team in this NGO and have lived in La Cienega and known the people so friendly. And six months have passed quickly and I'm back to Holland and looking back I see my internship at The Swamp as an experience never to forget ever.
Also sometimes I have to give me a pinch on the arm to realize that everything is reality and not a dream. However, village life has not always been easy for me, as in the first few months had to get accustomed to local life, but once I discovered more or less accustomed to life in the Dominican Republic is beautiful: the beautiful people and kind to their customs and the precious nature (especially in the vicinity of La Cienega!).
Anyway, doing an internship at The Swamp has been a huge enrichment for me, I learned a lot about the culture and people. I hope that the projects are successful and improve the lives of Cienaguera / ace.
In closing I want to thank Yacine coordinators and Vicky for giving me the opportunity to intern and I also want to thank my colleagues from both the Foundation and Guanaba.Net. Thank you very much for everything. Good luck in all things that are on the way and I hope to see you soon.
