Jacqui, New Peace Corps Volunteer in The Swamp

Greetings to The Swamp! In the past month has seen the blonde walking down the streets, or perhaps running? Well, I would like to formally introduce myself, my name Jacqueline Guerrero, or "Yaki." I live with Fefa, Galmy, Nanai and so on, across the river, in the "neighborhood Haiti". I am a Peace Corps volunteer in the United States and live two years in this community as "Cienagera" next to you.
Peace Corps is a government agency where volunteers work in developing countries to promote peace and friendship. There, more than 195,000 volunteers have served in 139 host countries to work on issues that range from disease education, environmental conservation, information, youth business. The Peace Corps volunteers continue to help individuals who want to build a better life for everyone in their communities.
I was born in Chicago in the United States, Trinidad and daughter Carmen Guerrero, Mexican parents. I have a degree in sociology from the university, "Davidson" in North Carolina and come to the Dominican Republic in August. So far I really like this country, from bachata he heard every night until concón that as every day.
Given that, I will work with the Foundation and COODECI Taigüey with community-based ecotourism project of the Swamp and Transagro. I am happy to be part of a strong revival of the cooperative and the Foundation to raise the community in this way. Apart from this, I would like to work with different community groups where possible Swamp especially youth groups relacionándole to projects. So, I would be a useful resource for you, and as the Dominicans say, "I'm at your service."
