COODECI celebrates its Constituent Assembly, a firm step in the progress of the swamp!

Cooperative Group for the Development of La Cienega was formally established in the Agricultural Cooperative of Multiple Services and Development of La Ciénaga (COODECI) in the Constituent Assembly held on September in the local spring, the municipality of La Cienega. Coodeci organization will be the basis for managing the activities of the two income-generating projects (processing of fruit and community-based ecotourism) but you can perform many other activities 
(Such as savings and loans). This is a result of hard work of the Foundation team Taigüey carried out with financial support from the Social Fund of the Embassy of France, the Environment Fund of the United Nations (PPS) and the newly confirmed Intermaricana Foundation support ( FIA). A big applause to the group manager for his work and the Cienaga by taking 'up front!
Similarly, in the Assembly were elected / as the / as / members as that will make the different councils responsible for the direction of the COODECI.
COODECI has a payroll of 53 partners / ace of which 42 were present at the time of roll call and counted with voice and vote in the Constituent Assembly.
The event was attended by Ms. Ilonka Coiscou, director of the Center of the Enriquillo Regional Development Institute and Credit Cooperative (IDECOOP), Ms. Oriane Bataille, the Fund for the Development of the French Embassy, Dr. Isidoro Felix on behalf of Mr. Moreta Trustee of the Municipal Council of La Cienaga, Mr. Arthur Melo, president of the association of carriers of La Ciénaga (ASOCHOPACE), Worthy of the Cooperative Pimentel the Fallen Pro, Emmanuel Melo of Plan International, and Mr . Canario Siegfried Adventist Church, among others from the community of La Ciénaga.
The / os / members as to form the different councils responsible for the direction of the COODECI were:
- In the Administrative Council: Danny Santana, Erinalda Medina, Alexis Medina, Mayra Santana Feliz, Feliz Aurelio, Mildred Guevara and Jose (Remedy) Guevarra
- In the Supervisory Board: Providence Cuevas, Florentina Feliz, Josecito Santana and Aurora Medina.
- Credit Counseling: Isidora Magalis Feliz, Percy Cave, Neroli N. Happy, Josefa Gomez and Jorge Mesa.
The voting took place regularly. Those elected were sworn by Mrs. Ilonka Coiscou, regional director of IDECOOP. The / as / members as elected shall meet within eight days to make the allocation of positions, as contemplated in the bylaws of the COODECI.
The ceremony ended with the artistic presentation of folk The New Hope Society, headed by Mr. Joseph Remedy Guevara and the troupe "The Rose Garden" of Mrs.. Carmen Pimentel (bugs).
