Local group takes Theater workshop with the Foundation Cayenas

In the community of La Cienaga Barahona Cayenas Foundation is currently conducting a theater workshop aimed at initiating young people and adolescents who are involved around 15 young people from this community, coordinated by the Foundation Taigüey,. This workshop is training young people in theater techniques and physical exercises, breathing, vocalization, acting, diction and popular theater. This workshop with a duration of 6 months culminating in the presentation of three short plays that are: Cure for Evil Love (work habits), Blood Wedding by Federico Garcia Lorca (Fragment) and Who will bell the cat puts (Fable ). The work of Manabao Manbru addition to arise in the community surrounding communities would be presented in Santo Domingo and visit the 1st. Meeting of the groups that make up the National People's Theatre, among others.
Upon completion of the workshop are to be mounted with youth who have completed a full work for which we are analyzing the text Manabao Mambrú of a play by the talented playwright green cutting Serulle Dominican Haff. The Foundation facilitators of this workshop are Cayenas Alfredo Caraballo and Delgado Odeisy, who work hard in the formation of the National People's Theatre in different communities in the country. The youth of the Cienaga de Barahona to complete the assembly process of Manabao Manbru work presented in addition to their own community would be submitted to neighboring communities and visit Santo Domingo to the 1st. In his more than ten years of existence have performed successfully the following assemblies: Congress of Ghosts (1997), An Angel in Trouble (1999), Cimarron in Dreams (2001), The Jumping Bunny
(2002), De Barro, Cement and Asphalt (2003). Has also participated in international events like: Workshop "Street Theatre Space Conquer a" Cuba, XXXI Cervantes Street Festival Free Centre for Experimental Theatre (CLETA) Mexico, 1st Meeting of Latin American Popular Theatre (ENTEPOLA)
