Announcing the inaugural event of the Offer Community Ecotourism "Guan-Bahoruco Oriental Adventures" to be held on Friday August 21. "GuanAventuras" is a community-based ecotourism initiative that combines the enhancement of the attractiveness of the area (mountains, beaches, spectacular views, rivers and waterfalls, popular traditions and knowledge), with the development of accommodation, food, hiking, crafts and guidance, all those offered by the community. CAPS REPORT ON THE JAMAICA NETWORK (Jacana) NETWORKING WORKSHOP Kingston, Jamaica - July 30 2009. The workshop Gathered There Were 27 Participants from 17 local telecenters / CAP sites across the island. The Objective of the workshop WAS the networking activity to Strengthen the CAP Among the Operators / managers, Within the framework of the Jachan, in order to enable peer to peer support permanent, Dissemination of best practices, tools and resources, to Strengthen the sustainability and Social Impact of the CAPS in the communities. It Was Organised by Jachan and ICT4DJamaica and Taigüey Foundation, in the framework of the ACT! One afternoon in 2003, Vicky and two young graduates of a course of community leaders, sat with a group of community leaders / ace, talking about how to take p'alante Swamp community. That day was concluded with the need for ideas while at the same time to generate income, protect the environment, developing entrepreneurship, management and organization, and the need to integrate women in the community in paid work to improve health and education. Today, after almost 6 years later, having made the project TRANSGAGRO and gained support from several agencies (PPS.pnud, FIA, Ibbi etc.) and implemented two years, the Women's Cooperative of Cienaga, COOpDECI, was present on 6 and June 7 at the FestiCafe 2009, stage for the first hint of the market and bitter orange marmalade "In my seeding" produced with fruit from the shadow of the coffee of our hills. On Thursday, April 16 saw the first Meeting-Workshop of the Centers for collective access to ICTs in the Region Enriquillo in the facilities of the South Youth Foundation, in Barahona under the coordination of the Technical Unit of the C National omission Information Society (CNSIC) of the Dominican Republic and the Foundation Taigüey. The meeting is part of the establishment of the National Network and the Dominican Cacts Community , which seeks to enhance the sustainability and social impact of technology centers, through joint capacity building, exchange of experiences, tools and best practices between managers and operators of the technology centers. The same was attended by 80 operators / managers as and / as Community Technology Centers (Cacts) promoted by INDOTEL, Secretary of Education and the Ministry of Youth in the provinces of Pedernales, Bahoruco, Barahona and Independencia. Renowned artist Miguel Ramirez workshop facilitated a Creative eDestrezas Environmental Protection and Beautification Urban Ornato Swamp 3 to April 6, 2009. This was part of the community ecotourism project and also to sensitize the community on environmental issues aimed at developing creative Bug Childrens beautify @ sy: here's the count who writes Michael .... : All creative expression is a unique experience, revelatory and transcendent of the ordinary, unique adventure, unique wonder .... Each group of Niñ 's express íntegramentesu know, imaginary spontaneity and surprise, the fun experience of manipulating materials and communicate ideas, almost always exceed expectations and proposals made at each workshop. Taking advantage of the area Cochy Garcia recognized artisans and professionals who came from Peru to teach the craft workshop project Bahoruco Larimar, the Foundation organized a workshop Taigüey induction to design the craft project group from 2 and March 12, 2009. Today we were visited IIBI technical team, led by Dr. Lucia Berigüete in charge of Food Biotechnology Institute of Innovation and Industry (IIBI), to discuss the process spent in the preparation of jams and start planning Technology Transfer.

What attracts me! Is a funny play by an invitation to reflect on our role as citizens, and how to participate, "eye opening" and supervising public administration can achieve better living standards. The search stage is a mirror of our reality, where everyone and we are all part of the problem and solution, corruption, cronyism, and socio-economic plight of our south-west.
The Work is one of the results of the project "Bringing Congress to the West through art," which aims to raise awareness and encourage reflection of the / as community, municipalities and municipal districts of the province of Barahona, in the leading role and pro-active citizens in the monitoring and control of public management and the work of Congress. Taigüey Produced by the Foundation under the direction of Miguel Ramirez, starring Vincent Santos, and Manuel Apolinario Raposo Victoria. Written by Carlos Castro and the contributions of Vicky Apolinario and Miguel Ramirez, with language and cultural references adapted to the target audience (rural and semi-urban areas of south west)

Teacher training in the use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) supported by the constructivist learning process was present in the course developed by the Foundation in Taigüey Guanaba.net Community Technology Center in the Community of La Ciénaga, Barahona Province. This initiative had the support and collaboration of the Directorate General Informatics Education of the Ministry of Education (SEE) and Regional educational authorities and District of the Province, was developed through an action research process accompanied by Paulino Ogando, a specialist in distance education and information technology for development. On Monday, November 17 was held the workshop "Sustainability Initiatives Collective Access to ICTs in the Dominican Republic" with the objective to "analyze and share among the various governmental and nongovernmental organizations in the Dominican Republic to promote community access initiatives to ICT lessons learned, best practices, work methods, resources used, the impact of such initiatives in the communities and the challenges to ensure sustainability of these initiatives and increase their social impact in the development human communities and their inhabitants.
